We have partnered with the University of Wisconsin Makerspace to be a manufacturer for the Covid-19 medical face shield project. The open-source design we're producing is based on shields currently used in hospitals.
“The shield covers more of the face than a mask, so infected droplets are less likely to land anywhere near your eyes, mouth or nose,” according to What We Know About Face Shields and Coronavirus which ran in the Wall Street Journal on June 16.
The face shield measures 13" wide by 9" long and is made from .007" thick PET plastic. There is a 1.125" foam forehead backing and an 11" long, 3/4" wide elastic band (no latex).
Available in assembled quantities of 10 or 100, plus DIY kits of 100 that you can assemble yourself in 60 seconds or less per shield.
